What does the Affirm laser treat?

The Affirm laser is a 1440 nm laser that allows the client to undergo a number of treatments in order to resurface the skin. This is helpful to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, increase collagen production in the skin, help to tighten loose skin, improve red pigmentation in the skin, improve pore size, improve the appearance and coloration of scars.

Affirm laser is ideally suited to treating photodamaged skin. It penetrates the skin to the 300 um level which is the level of the skin that the changes of photoaging and photodamage occur at.

Following a series of Affirm treatments a client can have improved collagen production for up to six months after the last treatment was carried out.

Why is the Affirm laser so popular?

The reason that the Affirm is so popular is not just because it gives excellent results. The client receives a series of treatments with the Affirm three to six weeks apart. After a treatment there can be redness and swelling and the feeling of a sunburn. A person can easily have the treatment done one day and go to work the next day. So there is virtually no "down time" with the Affirm laser treatments.

Treatment with the Affirm laser is not painful. Unlike other treatments no topical anesthetics are required for an Affirm treatment. There is a cooling device that is used with the Affirm that cools the skin while the treatment is being carried out.
